The health of Burt Reynolds has gone downhill quickly and friends believe he's in his last days. 

Tabloid sources says the "Smokey and the Bandit" actor is nearly broke and on borrowed time.  They say he has suffered so many injuries over the years that the 76-year-old actor's legs often buckle and he collapses. 

Despite the pain, Reynolds insists on teaching a weekly acting class at his Burt Reynolds Institute for Film & Theater in Jupiter, Florida. 

Teaching is the only thing that is keeping him going
