I was reading on ABC News.com today about a 12 year old getting bariatric surgery and lost over 70 pounds

According to the article "Her mother, Ana Sanchez, said she tried to cut portion sizes for her daughter as she grew heavier, but Betsy would demand seconds and throw tantrums if she didn't get snacks.

"Diet and exercise didn't work for Betsy. She was addicted to food, only surgery would work," Sanchez told the Daily Mail."

I am the only one who thinks

A) That Ana Sanchez needs to be a parent, and deal with the tantrums.

B) Also that 12 is WAY too young to have this surgery?
