Sarah Tressler has a bachelors and a masters degree. She is an adjunct professor for the University of Houston. And, until recently, she was a society reporter for the Houston Chronicle.
She was fired from the Chronicle after a competing newspaper, The Houston Press, outed her as having been a stripper in upscale nightclubs for about eight years.
Nevermind that she was blogging the whole time...

The information was out there. If anyone should have known, perhaps it should have been the investigative entity that is the Houston Chronicle...hmmmmm?
Doesn't seem like she worked to hard at keeping the stripping a secret. But when the Houston Chronicle found out and reported on it they peaced her off the gig.
Too bad though. It seems they've only made her more popular with appearances on Good Morning America and other TV shows.
I'll bet they only fired her cuz they didn't have first dibs on the story.
*UPDATE*
Sarah Tressler has retained the services of Gloria Allred and is suing her former employer, the Houston Chronicle, for wrongful termination.
Not sure whether this is just a ploy for publicity or if this is genuinely an attempt to protect her civil rights. Here's a good discussion on it.
Here's the original story from ABC News.
