Pony is an orangutan. She lives in Indonesia. In her village in Indonesia there is, apparently, no law enforcement there. Why does this matter?

There is a prostitute village in Borneo in Indonesia. In this prostitute village there is a brothel where Pony was the main attaction.

Her handlers shaved her entire body and trained her to react to men in a sexual manner. There are more indignities that Pony had to suffer at the hands of that village, but you can read those later.

The most important thing is that she was removed. With force. The village that had her chained up refused to give her up and fought off all attempts at rescue with weapons tipped with poison.

To get her out it took 35 police officers armed with AK-47s.

Between the village and the chained up orangutan where do you find humanity? As jaded as I am to the darkness in mankind, this story messed me up a little.
