HOUSTON (Reuters) - Gasoline-producing fluidic catalytic cracking unit No. 3 malfunctioned and shut down late on Saturday night at BP Plc's 475,000 barrel per day (bpd) refinery in Texas City, Texas, according to a notice filed on Sunday with state pollution regulators.
The malfunction and shutdown lasted through Sunday morning, according to the notice filed with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
FCC No. 3 is one of three at the refinery.
