(Detroit, MI) -- Aretha Franklin is expected to be released from a hospital this weekend. That word comes from her cousin Brenda Corbett, who talked to the "Detroit Free Press" about the condition of the Queen of Soul. Corbett did not confirm multiple reports that Franklin has been stricken with pancreatic cancer. Just last week, Franklin underwent surgery for an undisclosed illness. Franklin described the surgery as "highly successful" in a statement following the procedure. The previous month, the legendary singer told the world she was canceling all of her concerts through May 2011 on doctor's orders.
