EAST LANSING, Mich (WQTX) Michigan State University professor Terrie Taylor is being honored with a 2011 ‘Excellence in Medicine Award’ for two decades of work studying and treating malaria in Africa. Taylor is an internal medicine professor and osteopathic physician. The university says she'll receive the award on February 8th in at a dinner in the nation's capital. Taylor is one of six doctors being honored by the American Medical Foundation this year.
