Cleveland 113 Detroit 101

The Pistons gave it their best last night against LaBron James and the league leading Cavaliers but Cleveland was too much in the fourth quarter and beat Detroit 113-to-101at the Palace. James finished with his 28th career triple-double with 29 points, 12 assists and 12 rebounds.

The Cavs pulled away with five triples in the final period, which started with the Pistons leading 76-to-75. LaBron delivered the final dagger, nailing a three point shot with 29 seconds left to put Cleveland up 109-to-101.

Richard Hamilton had 24 points for Detroit, Charlie Villanueva added 16 and Jason Maxiell ended with 15 rebounds and 10 points. Tayshaun Prince, who left Monday night’s loss at Boston in the first quarter after hurting his back in a hard fall, was back in the lineup for the Pistons and finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and eight assists.

Detroit, which has dropped 3 straight and 10 of 12, has lost 10 straight to the Cavaliers. The Pistons return to action Friday night at Indiana.
