(Detroit, MI) -- Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy is seeking to block former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick from receiving profits on his autobiography. A hearing has been scheduled for June 15th on the matter, as the book is available for pre-orders on the website of Kilpatrick's publisher. The former mayor is jailed on a probation violation and is awaiting a federal trial on corruption charges. Worthy cited the Michigan Crime Victims' Rights Act in asking for an escrow account to be set up for proceeds of the book to be deposited, as Kilpatrick owes over 860 thousand dollars in restitution to the city.
