The Wrestler star landed a special Halloween treat last Monday (31Oct11) as he became only the 254th celebrity to have his prints added to the historic venue, but Rourke admits he was baffled to receive the invite - until he did some research.
He says, ""First of all I didn't know they still put people when they are alive in there. I didn't think they still did that. I thought they did it a long time ago so when I used to live on Hollywood Boulevard... I'd walk down there like everybody else, look around, see (prints by) John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra...
""It was never something I really thought about because I always thought it was some kinda bum yard.""
Rourke dedicated the honour to his late grandmother and even inscribed a heart and the word 'Granma' (sic) next to his autograph in the wet cement.
