The actor, who first played shady lawyer Billy Flynn on stage in 2006, will reprise the role from 1 November (11) for a limited engagement.

He won't be the only one rejoining the cast next month (Nov11) - Charlotte d'Amboise will also return as Roxie Hart. The actress boasts more than 2,500 performances as Hart on Broadway and on tour.

Singer/songwriter Kara DioGuardi, who is currently playing Roxie Hart on Broadway, will end her run in the show on 30 October (11).

Chicago will celebrate its 15th year on the New York stage on 14 November (11).

In August (11), the production became the fourth longest-running show in Broadway history.
