LANSING, Mich (WLMI) Several new polls of Michigan voters show Rick Santorum leading Mitt Romney in the Republican presidential race. An M-R-G Michigan poll has Santorum leading Romney 43 to 33-percent. East Lansing’s Mitchell Research gives Santorum a 9-percent lead over Romney. Less than two weeks ago, the Mitchell poll gave Romney a 15-percent lead over Newt Gingrich with Santorum and Ron Paul tied for third. Michigan voters head to the polls February 28th.
Michigan Governor Rick Snyder is expected to endorse Mitt Romney for president during an appearance today in metro Detroit. The Detroit Free Press reports the endorsement will be announced during a lunch event in Farmington Hills. Snyder is also expected to appear with Rick Santorum during a Republican dinner in Novi.
