MERIDIAN TWP, Mich (WLMI) Meridian Township has postponed its annual 4th of July fireworks display due to the hot and dry weather. They were originally scheduled to go off at dusk Wednesday at the township hall. A new date hasn’t been set. Fire officials say it’s simply too dry and the risk for outdoor fires remains high.
