WASHINGTON (WHTC) - For the second time in the last 18 months, House lawmakers have voted to fully repeal the Affordable Care Act. The measure passed the House Wednesday afternoon on a largely party-line vote, 244-185, but is not expected to be approved by the Democratic-controlled Senate. The Lakeshore's two Congressmen - Republicans Bill Huizenga of Zeeland and Fred Upton of St. Joseph - voted in favor of the repeal. Huizenga says the law "has broken numerous promises including: controlling costs, reducing the deficit, and not raising taxes on the middle class."
