The title track from the band’s latest album, Some Nights , hit #1 on the Billboard Alternative Songs Chart this week. “Some Nights” marks the second time in a row that the band has achieved a #1 single on the Alternative Songs Chart and follows “We Are Young,” featuring Janelle Monae , their first #1 single from Some Nights .

Only two other bands have topped Billboard ’s Alternative Songs Chart with consecutive #1 singles. Back in 1994, Green Day scored two #1 singles with "Longview" and "Basket Case" from Dookie , while Alanis Morissette claimed two #1 slots with "You Oughta Know" and "Hand in My Pocket" from 1995’s Jagged Little Pill .
