GRAND RAPIDS, Mich (WLMI) Charges will NOT be filed in connection with the death of a Lansing man at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. Kent County prosecutors say there's no point in charging the alleged 86-year-old killer of Andrew Bell with a crime, because of his age and advanced Alzheimer's disease. Bell died in April after being pummelled in a room at the veterans' home's Alzheimer's wing. Investigators say Bell was attacked when he tried to climb into the suspect's bed.
