DETROIT, Mich (WLMI) Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper are expected to announce plans to build a second bridge between Detroit and Windsor this afternoon. The project will cost one-point-five-billion-dollars and Canada will loan the state up to 550-million-dollars to help pay for the crossing. Yesterday, Michigan legislators in the House passed a bill to block the use of state funds for the new span, and the measure has moved to the Senate for consideration.
