DETROIT (WKZO) -- Detroit Mayor Dave Bing has called for a special session with the city council on Friday with plans to ask for a vote to fire corporation counsel Krystal Crittendon.
Earlier in the week, Bing asked Crittendon to resign and she refused. A statement from the mayor's office said that Crittendon's recent challenge of the Financial Stability Agreement has "negatively impacted our city, including our bond rating and the city's ability to finance its ongoing operations."
Bing says that Crittendon violated the rules of professional conduct and her actions could cost the city of Detroit millions of dollars.
