LANSING, Mich (WLMI) Ingham County sheriff's detective Joseph Clewley will be sentenced in August after pleading no contest to misdemeanor assault.  Clewley was arrested after he choked his 13-year-old son and hit the boy in the face in reaction to the teen throwing a calculator in May.  He had initially been charged with felony third-degree child abuse.  Clewley faces a possible sentence of up to a year in jail.
