EAST LANSING, Mich (WLMI) A deal has been reached between the city of Detroit and Michigan State University to create an urban farming program in the Motor City. A location hasn’t been chosen yet, but a memorandum of understanding was signed yesterday by Mayor Dave Bing and MSU President Lou Anna Simon. The university will spend 500-thousand dollars per year on the project for three years on the proposed eight to ten acre facility.
