Ex- Guns N' Roses drummers Steven Adler and Matt Sorum are among the many hard-rock luminaries set to perform at a tribute concert for late Led Zeppelin beat keeper John Bonham . Bonzo's Birthday Bash will take place at the House of Blues in Los Angeles on May 31, the day Bonham would have turned 64. The event, which is being co-organized by Whitesnake 's Brian Tichy , will feature a wide variety is drummers performing their favorite Zeppelin tunes on a kit replicating the one Bonham used.
The concert's lineup also will include Sebastian Bach , Vinny Appice of Heaven & Hell and Dio , Vanilla Fudge 's Carmine Appice , ex- AC/DC drummer Simon Wright , Glen Sobel from Alice Cooper 's band, Quiet Riot 's Frank Banali and Foreigner 's Jeff Pilson and Mark Schulman . In addition, Tichy, Whitesnake bassist Michael Devin and former Montrose singer Keith St. John will be part of the event's house band dubbed The Moby Dicks .
Bonzo's Birthday Bash will be the fourth in a series of Bonham tribute shows that Tichy has helped put together.
