LANSING, Mich (WLMI) Assistant U.S. Education Secretary Eduardo Ochoa will be in mid-Michigan today. This afternoon, Ochoa will visit Eastern High School in Lansing to talk about the Obama administration's initiatives to make college more affordable. Later in the day he takes the message of increased grant aid and loan repayment options to local and state college faculty and administrators at a College Leaders Roundtable meeting at MSU. He is expected to talk at length about the need for action to avoid student loan rates doubling on July 1st. Tomorrow, Ochoa will be in Detroit.
