IONIA, Mich (WLMI)  A man who walked away from a work release program in Ionia County is back in police custody.  The Ionia County Sheriff's Department arrested Michael Bridinger without incident around 9 o’clock last night.  That was nearly nine hours after he wandered away from his work crew assignment with the Ionia County Road Commission.  His escape prompted lockdowns at Ionia High School and Rather Elementary School, but students were allowed to go home at their normal times.
