LANSING, Mich (WLMI) Michigan's unemployment rate in April fell by two-tenths of a percent from March and now stands at eight-point-three percent. The rate is more than two-percent lower than it was at this time a year ago and just slightly above the national average of eight-point-one percent. The current rate is the lowest in Michigan since July 2008, and the state's workforce rose for the fourth straight month in April.
