LANSING, Mich (WLMI) Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette has sent a letter to the federal government opposing plans for a casino in downtown Lansing. In the letter, Schuette expresses his concern over the consequences of allowing a 245-million-dollar casino to be built just blocks from the state Capitol. Because the project would be in conjunction with the Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians, it would require the approval of the U.S. Department of the Interior.
