WASHINGTON (WKZO) -- U.S. Congressman Gary Peters is building up cash as he considers running for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Carl Levin.
Peters first-quarter campaign report showed he raised 370-thousand dollars since the beginning of the year and had more than 800-thousand dollars in cash on hand. Peters previously told the "Detroit Free Press" that he was seriously considering a run for the U.S. Senate.
The filing deadline for possible candidates is midnight Tuesday.
