CHARLOTTE (WLMI) -- A Charlotte doctor has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexual misconduct in this office. Kassem Hallak was accused of misocnduct with multiple victims between 2002 and 2006 at the Charlotte Medical Center and Urgent Care on Meijer Drive. A large group of Hallak's former patients had sent letters to the judge asking for leniency, but that didn't help, and he was sentenced to the maximum. Hallak will be eligible for parole in seven years, and will never be able to practice medicine again in the United States. He is a Canadian citizen.
