Yoko Ono has tapped some biggest names in the world of rock to help her with her upcoming album, Take Me to the Land of Hell . Surviving Beastie Boys members Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and Michael “Mike D” Diamond will create some special remixes for the release, while Wilco guitarist Nels Cline will sit in with the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band for a number of tracks on the album.
“The energy I have right now, and the desire to continue to make as much great work as I can, is really moving me forward all the time,” said 80-year-old Ono in a statement. “This album is the culmination of a lot of ideas I’ve been having over the last few years and I feel proud to release it at such an exciting time of my life."
Take Me to the Land of Hell will arrive at all the usual outlets on September 17.
