LANSING (WKZO) -- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan is a little closer to becoming a nonprofit mutual insurer after Senate bills 61 and 62 passed.  Both bills passed 92-18, and head to Governor Rick Snyder's desk for approval.

Snyder vetoed similar bills late last year after the House added verbiage that restricted abortion coverage.  That language has since been removed from the bills.
