There has been a major setback for the backers of a proposed casino in Lansing. A federal judge ruled yesterday that the casino can’t be built without the permission of all tribal casinos in the state. That would be unlikely. But Lansing Mayor Virg Bernero says the Sault St. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians will continue to pursue plans to open a casino in Lansing.
