There are discussions going on right now at the state capitol that could lead to a state takeover of Lansing’s Eastern High School. State education officials are holding hearings into the potential of the Education Achievement Authority taking over the lowest performing school in Michigan. Lansing Eastern could be a candidate because of low MEAP test schools. The EAA already runs a half dozen Detroit area schools.
