General Motors may invest 38-million-dollars into the Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant. Officials with the Detroit-based automaker say the money would be used to improve the facility to strengthen manufacturing capability, but would not say if the project is related to a plan to move production of the Chevrolet Camaro from Ontario to Lansing in the future. GM has asked for tax abatements for the investment and the Lansing City Council is expected to discuss the request in a meeting next week.
