The National has a new release headed our way. The band announced they’ll drop their fifth studio album, Trouble Will Find Me , on May 21.
Frontman Matt Berninger explains that the guys got right to work on the new album shortly after they ended their 22-month tour in support of 2010’s High Violet . “For the past ten years we’d been chasing something, wanting to prove something,” he said in a statement. “After touring High Violet , I think we felt like we’d finally gotten there. Now we could relax -- not in terms of our own expectations but we didn’t have to prove our identity any longer.”
