Back in August, Band of Horses frontman Ben Bridwell announced he’d be heading out on the road for a bunch of solo tour dates, playing some new music under the moniker Birdsmell . Now, the singer is giving us a taste of the new material he’ll be performing during the upcoming shows.
The singer notes that the new cuts had been “sitting around for far too long,” and he’s looking forward to performing them out on his tour, which kicks off on November 2 at Cat’s Cradle in Carrboro, NC.
“I wasn’t exactly in a rush to get them out to the discerning earholes of the public,” he says in a statement. “This project was pure enjoyment for me and it was nice to not give a damn about anything, but having fun recording these songs. I’ve now decided to take this approach on the road on the Birdsmell tour, which will be coming to a Deep Southern town near you this fall.”

11/2 -- Carrboro, NC, Cat’s Cradle (Back Room)
